Rick is the Minister of Music and Associate Pastor of First Baptist Oak Island. He came on staff in August of 2008.  Before coming to Oak Island, Rick served in churches in Western North Carolina and upper South Carolina.  Rick graduated from Anderson University in Anderson, SC and Charleston Southern in Charleston, SC.  He also attended Ersking Theological Seminary in Western SC.  He served on the Board of Trustees at Charleston Southern and was a substitute teacher at Fruitland Bible Institute.

Rick has two children, Cherise Ables Langlo and Seth Ables.  He also has two grandchildren, Victoria and Gabrielle Langlo.  In his spare time, he enjoys playing the guitar and traveling.
