ADVENT SERMON SERIES
Joy to the World: A Study of the Book of Philippians
Joy to the World is one of the most familiar songs of the season, yet most people admit they feel anything but joyful this time of year. Recent studies show that nearly 9 out of 10 adults experience significant stress during the holidays.
In the book of Philippians, the apostle Paul writes about joy from a place no one would expect: a prison cell. His circumstances were bleak, but his heart was full. Why? Because his joy was anchored in Christ.
This new sermon series through Philippians will help us recover that same kind of deep, steady joy. A joy that doesn’t rise and fall with our circumstances. A joy strong enough for every season that life brings.

FBCOI WORSHIP CHOIR CHRISTMAS MUSICAL
SUNDAY, DECEMBER 14th, 5PM
Featuring a heartwarming story of a letter found in an old family Bible, this musical introduces a young girl named Sarah writing to her “Nana”, expressing her joy and delight as she anticipates the holiday and, once again, getting the family together at Christmastime. The memories of past Christmases combined with the expectation of precious new memories yet to be made create a vivid backdrop for sharing the real reason for the season…Jesus!
Following the Christmas Musical all guests are invited to a Soup & Sandwiches Supper in the Fellowship Hall.
